Roofers will separate out wood and other construction debris, but most roofers just make a separate pile, which is usually small, and throw that on top of the shingle load so it can be pulled off at the recycling facility.
All materials remove from properties are never directly sent to a landfill is separated before we loaded in to our trailers. Materials that can be recycled are taken to the proper recycling centers in which aluminum, steel, asphalt products are recycled on a regular basis.
