Ernie’s Gutter · Privacy and Your Choices

Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information handled through erniesgutter.com and related customer communications, why it is used, the website services involved and how to contact us about your privacy.

Original effective date: October 27, 2025 Last revised: October 30, 2026

No Selling Customer Leads

We do not sell or rent your contact details or leads to other businesses for their own marketing. Website analytics and advertising tools are explained separately below.

No Recorded Calls or Texts

We do not record customer calls or operate a customer text-messaging program. A click on a website phone link may still be measured as a website event.

A Direct Privacy Contact

Questions, corrections and privacy requests can be sent to ernie@erniesgutter.com or discussed by calling 720 346 ROOF.

1. Who This Policy Covers

Ernie’s Gutter ("we," "our" or "us") provides this policy for erniesgutter.com and information supplied to us through service inquiries, telephone calls, email and customer relationships connected with this business.

Other businesses and external websites, including websites reached through links, have their own practices and notices. This policy does not describe every practice of Ernie’s Roofing or another separately operated business merely because a link or related service appears on this site.

This is a notice about information practices. Visiting this page or requesting an estimate does not, by itself, provide consent for unrelated marketing, a new use of sensitive information or any processing for which the law requires a separate choice.

2. Information Collected

Category Examples Source
Contact and service details Name, email, telephone number, property address, ZIP code and requested service. You, your representative or a referral you authorize.
Project and customer records Messages, project descriptions, photographs you provide, estimates, approved work, invoices and service or warranty correspondence. Your communications and our work with you.
Website and device information IP address, browser and device information, page URLs, referring sources, cookie identifiers and website interactions. Your browser, website systems and the providers described below.
Website event information Clicks on telephone links and successful contact-form events. Website measurement tools. These events are different from recording a telephone conversation.

Information about payments can include billing contacts, invoice details and transaction status associated with a job. If you use a separate payment service, that provider’s notice and terms also govern the information you provide directly to it. Do not send full payment-card numbers, security codes or bank-account credentials through ordinary website forms or email.

Choosing not to provide information needed for an estimate, property visit or service may limit our ability to fulfill that request.

3. How Information Is Used

  • Answer questions, prepare estimates and communicate about requested work.
  • Schedule visits, coordinate access and provide or support services.
  • Maintain project, billing, service and warranty records.
  • Operate the website, prevent spam and investigate technical or security problems.
  • Measure website activity and advertising results, including whether visitors contact us.
  • Meet applicable recordkeeping duties, resolve disputes and respond to lawful requests.

Information supplied for a particular job is not permission for another business to market to you. Uses that require separate consent or an opportunity to opt out remain subject to those requirements.

4. Who Receives Information

Information may be disclosed to people and providers involved in operating the business or carrying out your request. Relevant categories include website hosting and maintenance providers; email and business-record services; analytics, advertising, anti-spam and review-display providers; and contractors, suppliers or professional advisers involved in the work or business administration.

Project information can be shared as needed to coordinate the service you request. Information may also be disclosed at your direction, to protect legitimate rights and safety, to address fraud or disputes, or when required by applicable law or a valid legal process. A business transfer may involve relevant records, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Customer leads are not for sale. We do not sell or rent your name, telephone number, email address, property details or customer lead to another business for its own marketing.

Separately, website providers can receive cookie, device and activity information through the tools below. Some privacy laws use broader definitions of sale, sharing or targeted advertising that can include certain advertising disclosures even when no money changes hands. The no-lead-sale statement does not mean that no information reaches website providers.

5. Cookies and Website Services

Cookies and similar technologies can support website operation, measurement, advertising and third-party content. The information handled depends on the service, its configuration, your browser and your choices.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

The site includes Google measurement and advertising tags. Website measurement includes telephone-link clicks and successful contact-form events. Google can receive information such as page URLs, IP addresses, device or browser details, cookie identifiers and interactions. Depending on the services and applicable settings, information can be used for measurement, fraud prevention and advertising personalization.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. A website event indicating that a form was submitted is not the same as a recording of your call.

Google reCAPTCHA

Contact forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish legitimate inquiries from automated abuse. This can involve browser, device and interaction information. The site is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that service.

Reviews, videos and other third-party features

The site uses review-display tools, including Trustindex and Google review integrations. Pages may also contain embedded media or links to external services. Loading or interacting with a third-party feature can disclose your IP address, browser information and the page being viewed, and can involve that provider’s cookies or similar technology. The provider’s own privacy notice applies to its handling of that information.

6. Your Privacy Choices

  • Browser controls: use your browser settings to restrict or delete cookies. Some website features may be affected. Deleting cookies does not necessarily stop all network requests or other forms of measurement.
  • Google Analytics: Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers and implementations.
  • Google advertising: review My Ad Center for available Google advertising preferences. Those settings are controlled by Google and do not replace privacy rights you may have against us.
  • Direct requests: email ernie@erniesgutter.com to request help with your information or an applicable opt-out.

Browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control concern certain uses of information under applicable laws. A browser signal, a provider preference and a request sent to us are different mechanisms. This policy page is not itself a cookie-blocking tool or a switch that disables third-party tags. If you have questions about an opt-out signal or need assistance exercising an applicable right, contact us.

7. Requests and Applicable Privacy Rights

You may contact us about the personal information associated with your inquiry or customer relationship. Depending on your location, the information and whether a particular law applies, rights can include confirming processing; obtaining access or a portable copy; correcting inaccuracies; requesting deletion; and opting out of qualifying sales, targeted advertising or certain profiling.

Send requests to ernie@erniesgutter.com with a description of your request and enough information to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority. Do not email a Social Security number, payment credentials or a copy of an identity document unless a suitable verification method has first been arranged.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain a permitted extension when relevant. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, ongoing work, warranty matters, security or permitted dispute-related purposes. If a request is denied and an appeal right applies, you may appeal by emailing the same address with the subject "Privacy Appeal." We will review the appeal and provide the response and further information required by applicable law.

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Legal rights and exceptions vary; this policy does not state that every privacy law applies to every customer or interaction.

8. Retention and Security

Retention depends on the type of record, the requested service and legitimate business or legal needs. Relevant considerations include open inquiries, active projects, payment and accounting records, warranty periods, disputes, security needs and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Website providers can have their own retention settings and obligations. Backup and archival records may follow different deletion cycles from active systems.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and business operations. No website, email system, storage service or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Use care when sending information and tell us promptly if you believe information connected with this site has been misused.

9. Calls, Email and Messaging

We do not record customer telephone calls. Website tracking can measure a click on a telephone link without recording the conversation. Our telephone service can still generate ordinary call records, such as the number, date and duration.

We do not operate a customer SMS or text-messaging program. If that practice changes, any required notice, consent and opt-out procedures will be addressed before the program is introduced.

We may communicate by telephone or email about your inquiry, estimate, scheduling, project, invoice or warranty. To stop promotional email, use an unsubscribe option when provided or contact us. A marketing preference does not necessarily stop a communication needed to complete requested work or meet an applicable obligation.

10. Children and Sensitive Details

This website provides property-service information and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information through the site, contact us so we can review and address the situation as required.

Please limit submissions to information relevant to your project. Avoid sending medical information, Social Security numbers, account passwords or other unnecessary sensitive details. When sending property photographs or documents, consider whether they reveal unrelated people, personal papers or security information.

11. Policy Changes

We may revise this policy when our practices, website services or applicable requirements change. The revision date appears at the top. Material changes will receive additional notice or a consent request when required by law. Updating this page or your continued use of the site does not, by itself, authorize a new use for which separate consent is required.
